Abstract

This study explores the implementation of human resource (HR) strategies aimed at enhancing employee performance in the livestock sector, with a particular focus on talent retention and development. Through a qualitative case study, data were collected from interviews with HR managers, supervisors, and employees, supplemented by employee questionnaires and direct observations. The findings indicate that HR strategies emphasizing professional development, such as training and career advancement opportunities, significantly improve employee performance and job satisfaction. The study found that the introduction of these HR practices led to an increase in employee retention, with the retention rate rising from 60% to 85%. However, financial and technological constraints limit the broader application of these initiatives. Practical implications suggest that continuous investment in employee development is critical for maintaining productivity and competitiveness, especially in industries undergoing rapid technological advancements like livestock management. This research contributes to the HR literature by providing sector-specific insights and offering recommendations for improving HR practices in agriculture and related industries.
