Performance evoluation of different ground nut genotypes under climatic condition of Quetta.

Abstract


Six Ground nut Genotypes viz Golden, BARD 479, BARI 2000,PG – 1166,PG – 1169 and PG – 1190 were evaluated for agronomic parameters and yield under climatic condition of Agriculture Research Institute Sariab Quetta during spring 2013. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with four replications. Significant differences were observed for all the parameters among the genotypes. The genotype BARI 2000 out performed the rest of genotypes in yield potential (1261kg ha-1) followed by Golden (1162kgha-1). For yield contributing characters like number of pod plant-1, 20 pods length,  and 100 kernels weight genotypes BARI- 2000 again showed good result that are 40.25, 72,25cm and 128.75g respectively. The genotypes PG-1166 produced minimum dry pod yield of 640kgha-1.
